Hello! I’m Alexia, the designer and maker of Alexia Hollingsworth Jewellery.
From my studio at home on Dartmoor, I am proud to create elegant, wearable pieces of handmade jewellery.
Using traditional hand-forging and stone-setting techniques, every piece is unique in its own way. Pieces are created in recycled Stirling silver and gold with a strong focus on sustainability and ethical standards.
Collections begin with found natural objects or photographs snapped during walks, inspiration is drawn from Dartmoor’s extraordinary landscape.
Contrasts and textures play a pivotal role in my designs. By paying attention to details and exploring ways to incorporate these textural elements and patterns into my jewellery I hope to reflect nature’s curiosities and delicate forms.

Background

I live in the Dartmoor National Park with my family and a collection of horses, dogs, cats, and chickens! My jewellery-making journey began when my children were little, and I was searching for a creative outlet. What started as a hobby grew into a small business. However, balancing my work as a teacher and jewellery-making became too challenging, so I had to put my passion on hold for a while!
Fast forward to 2021, I decided to retire from teaching and reignite my love for jewellery making. I enrolled on various courses and a Diploma in Fine Jewellery to gain new skills and experience. My quest for knowledge keeps me engaged and eager to learn. And I kept practising!
This marked the rebirth of my business Alexia Hollingsworth Jewellery.
